Driver charged in fatal crash between motorcycle, SUV in North Dundas

CORNWALL, Ontario – SD&G OPP have charged a 45-year-old woman under the Highway Traffic Act involved in an accident on Saturday that killed a 69-year-old Ottawa man.

OPP in Stormont-Dundas-Glengarry said Ian Frost was westbound on County Road 43 near Chesterville just after 5 p.m. when a northbound SUV entered County Road 43 from County Road 7 and collided with his motorcycle.

Frost was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

It was originally reported that he hailed from Manotick Station. On Monday, police confirmed that he was a resident of Ottawa.

The driver of the SUV, Sandy Holder-Cobb, of Brooklyn, N.Y., and two young passengers were not injured.

She has been charged with fail to yield to traffic.

Holder-Cobb will appear in a Cornwall courthouse on Oct. 27.

SD&G OPP, assisted by OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators, continue the investigation.
