CORNWALL, Ontario – On Feb. 1, 2018 at approximately 6:11 p.m. SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a stolen motor vehicle on Loyalist Road, South Glengarry, Ontario.
The investigation revealed that a Dodge Dakota Truck had been taken from the residence without the owner’s consent. Shortly thereafter Police located the vehicle and the driver.
A 17-year-old from of South Glengarry, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Take Motor vehicle without consent
– Drive Motor vehicle- no licence (Highway Traffic Act)
She was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on March 8, 2018.
CHARGES LAID RELATING TO BREAK IN
SOUTH STORMONT, Ontario – On Jan. 15, 2018 at approximately 3:14am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of a break-in at a business (MacEwens Gas Station) on Highway 138, South Stormont Township.
Investigation indicated that sometime overnight Jan. 15, 2018 culprit(s) entered a business and removed cigarettes and lottery tickets.
On Feb. 1, 2018 members of the Community Street Crime Unit of SD&G OPP arrested another adult male in connection with the break-in.
Jody BURGESS, 49, of Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Fail to Comply with conditions of probation order
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, two counts.
– Trafficking in stolen goods under $5,000, two counts.
The male was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on Feb. 27, 2018
THEFT CHARGES LAID
SOUTH DUNDAS, Ontario – On Jan. 30, 2018 at approximately 9:54 p.m., SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a theft at a business on Highway 401 Westbound, South Dundas Township
Investigation indicated that a male had taken fuel without paying. The male was located at the location.
Robert STOJKA, 43, of Brampton, Ontario is charged with;
– Theft Under $5,000
The male was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on Feb. 27, 2018.
