CORNWALL, Ontario – If a 17-year-old Cornwall boy had left well enough alone, police likely would have done the same.

But instead the teenager, ho was intoxicated, interfered with an unrelated police matter and landed himself a slew of charges.

Cornwall police said the youth was arrested on Dec. 11 and charged with obstruct police, resist arrest, assault police and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. He was taken into custody after a brief struggle and transported to police headquarters.

The youth is also alleged to have kicked three officers during the incident. He was held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
