(SOUTH STORMONT, ON) – On Dec. 6, 2018 at approximately 12:16 a.m., members of the Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a robbery in a residence on Collins Rd. in South Stormont Township.

The investigation has determined that two armed individuals, wearing disguises, broke into the residence and assaulted the two adult victims with a weapon. The suspects stole items from the house before fleeing in a vehicle.

Officers responding to the call located the vehicle a short distance away with three suspects inside. Further investigation revealed that the male driver was under the influence of alcohol.

Additional investigation revealed a fourth suspect was involved and had fled the scene prior to Police arrival.

The two victims were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and have since been released.

Dennis Gowan, aged 55, of Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and charged with;

– Drive a Motor Vehicle while Impaired

– Drive a Motor Vehicle with over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in blood

– Robbery

– Take motor vehicle without consent

– Break and enter

Blake Woods, aged 25, of Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and charged with;

– Robbery

– Assault Cause bodily harm

– Assault with weapon

– Break and enter

– Fail to comply with conditions of a undertaking

– Fail to comply with conditions of a probation order

– Mischief under $5,000

– Disguise with intent

– Utter threats

Clarissa Square, aged 25, of Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and charged with;

– Robbery

– Break and enter

All three were held in custody and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.

On Dec. 12, 2018 SD&G OPP arrested and charged the fourth suspect;

Edward Hall, 49, of Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and charged with:

– Robbery

– Aggravated Assault ( two counts)

– Assault with weapon

– Break and enter ( two counts)

– Fail to comply with conditions of a probation order ( two counts)

– Disguise with intent

– Overcome resistance by attempting to choke, suffocate or strangle another person

Hall was held in custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall .
