Fourth suspect charged in North Dundas pet store robbery

CORNWALL, Ontario – Provincial police arrested a Barrhaven woman Friday in connection to an armed robbery at a Pet Valu in Winchester.

The Stormont-Dundas-Glengarry OPP crime unit charged Margaret Parkinson with conspiracy to commit an indictable offence and two counts of possession of property obtained by crime (one count under $5,000, the other over $5,000).

Police allege the suspect also stole a car in Ottawa that was used during the incident.

She was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on May 12.

The violent robbery occurred on Feb. 23 around 6 p.m.

Three males, one carrying a metal bar, entered the pet store on County Road 3 and allegedly confronted a female employee asking for money.

She sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.

The next day, Jacob Wattie, 19, of Ottawa, Alexandre Faubert-Nault, 20, of Gatineau, and a 15-year-old from Russell Township, were charged with robbery with a weapon.
