CORNWALL, Ontario – Start Halloween a day early, while scaring up funds for the MS Society of Cornwall & District.

Be the hero – or the villain – at the civic complex on Friday, October 30, for the inaugural Ghoul’s Gala Costume Ball, starting at 8 p.m.

“We want to throw the biggest Halloween party this city has seen in a long time,” said Alison Hudson, event organizer and director of entertainment at Cuisine Volante, an event design company and exclusive caterer for the Cornwall Civic Complex.

In addition to DJ Skittles keeping the dance floor packed, The Alison Wonderland Band is performing two hour-plus sets. Hudson is the lead singer of the five-piece act known for rocking weddings from the Seaway City to the nation’s capital.

The evening will also feature games, prizes, a spooky signature cocktail, and late night snacks. Grand prizes include Ottawa Senators tickets, dinner for six prepared at your home with a Cuisine Volante chef (valued at $750), and a $500 credit towards a live performance from The Alison Wonderland Band.

Hudson noted that the Ghoul’s Gala Costume Ball kicks off three days of fundraising for the MS Society of Canada – Cornwall & Distric chapter. The 2015 Trunk Sale hosted by W3G & Co. runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. the weekend of Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 at Marlin Orchards & Garden Centre east of Cornwall.

Tickets for the Ghoul’s Gala Costume Ball are $20 in advance or $25 at the door and can be reserved by contacting 613-679-2267 or emailing events@lacuisinevolante.com.

Tickets purchased prior to Oct. 26 will be entered into a draw for a $50 costume rental from the Cornwall Costume Shop.
