CORNWALL, Ontario – Gilles Latour, 49, was arrested on Sept. 8 and held for a bail hearing. Latour was charged with breach of two undertakings for failing to notify a change of address and failing to keep the peace.
According to the Cornwall Community Police Service, in July 2016 Latour failed to notify the CCPS of a change in address.
CCPS said that Latour presented himself to police headquarters on Sept. 8 to deal with the matter.
Latour was the head of Team Cornwall for a time before he faced allegations from the Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada (MFDA) concerning $652, 000 he allegedly took from vulnerable clients and did not repay.
Criminal fraud charges against Latour will be heard in court on Nov. 7.
