CORNWALL, Ontario – If your grass isn’t cut you may want to head out with the lawnmower – your home may be immortalized by Google for years to come.
The Google street view car is making the rounds in Cornwall and area. The little white car with the massive bank of on-board cameras was spotted Thursday morning near the Canadian Red Cross office on Montreal Road.
Google said on its behind-the-scenes blog that the Stormont County, as well as nearby Prescott-Russell, are being filmed.
Street view takes still images of streets and uses them to create a panoramic display of communities through its popular application.
Some images from Cornwall area properties are as much as six years old in some cases.
