CORNWALL, Ontario – Residents of SDG have been the target of a trio of thugs, with two home invasions in just three days.
SD&G OPP reported a break-in around 9:22 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 3 at a Weegar Road home in South Dundas.
Police say three black males wearing dark hoodies over their faces entered the residence with knives in hand demanding cash from the owner.
The victim was not injured.
However, the suspects stole two long guns and left in a passenger vehicle.
OPP Const. Joel Doiron said both home invasions are being investigated as separate cases.
He did confirm that provincial police have taken into account the striking similarities of the break-ins.
The first suspect is described as tall, slender build, 5’6”-5’7”, short curly hair, wearing a dark hooded shirt, track pants, running shoes, and a tan coloured baseball cap.
The second is described as approximately 5’9”, wearing a blue hooded shirt and a baseball cap.
The other is described as tall, slender, and wearing dark coloured hoodie pulled over his head.
Police also investigated a North Glengarry home invasion around 1 a.m. on Oct. 31.
Police say three men forcibly entered the Menard Road home at 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 30. An altercation left the male occupant with minor injuries.
The suspects fled on foot after taking two rifles, assorted jewelry, and cash.
The first is described as a black male, thin build, approximately 18-22-year-old, and 5’6”-5’8”.
The second suspect is described as a black male, thin build, approximately 18-22-year-old, and 5’6”-5’8”.
The third is described as an East Indian male, thin build, small nose, and thin lips.
All three suspects wore long dreadlock style hair, possibly wigs, and all dark clothing.
