The Hôpital Glengarry Memorial Hospital Foundation received a healthy injection of money at its annual Harvest Tastings at the North event, which brought the community together for an evening of great food, drinks, and socializing, all in support of local healthcare.
The Harvest Tasting event raised $26,200, and the Dream Vacation Raffle raised $29,400, reports Foundation Executive Director Frédérique Théorêt, noting that both events raise funds for improvements to the Alexandria hospital.
The evening’s highlight was the announcement of the highly anticipated Dream Vacation winners. The $15,000 Grand Prize was won by France Pommier; the $3,000 prize by Henri and Colleen Wetering and the $2,000 prize by John Gillisie.
The $26,200 Harvesting Tasting figure includes a major boost from two donors. In a heartwarming show of support, Judy and Ed Allinot made a generous donation of $10,000 during the event. Their contribution will directly benefit the Foundation’s efforts to expand and enhance healthcare services at Hôpital Glengarry Memorial Hospital.
“We’re incredibly grateful for the tremendous support shown by our community at Harvest Tastings at the North,” said Théorêt. “The success of this event, from the raffle to Judy and Ed’s generous donation, reflects a shared vision for making a meaningful impact on healthcare services in Glengarry. By investing in local healthcare, we’re working together to keep essential services close to home.”
