High school student accused of stealing school’s laptops

THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

CORNWALL, Ontario – A 16-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on Oct. 6, 2016 and charged with theft under $5, 000 and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the youth removed three laptops from the school he attends and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, CRIMINAL HARASSMENT, FORCIBLE CONFINEMENT, SEXUAL ASSAULT, BREACH

CORNWALL, Ontario – A 39-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Oct. 6, 2016 and charged with sexual assault, assault with a weapon, forcible confinement, criminal harassment and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged between December 2015 and September 2016 the man sexually assaulted his 31-year-old wife, threw items at her and refused to let her leave the residence. It is also alleged once the relationship ended he continually contacted her despite having been told not to. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

BREACH

CORNWALL, Ontario – Jessyca Coleman, 27 of Cornwall was arrested on Oct. 6, 2016 and charged with breach of recognizance for being out past curfew. It is alleged on Oct. 6, 2016 while investigating a suspicious person call police found the woman in breach of her conditions. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
