UNITED COUNTIES OF SD&G, Ontario – On August 6-7, 2017, SD&G Ontario Provincial Police officers conducted speed measuring enforcement on Highway 401, Highway 138, County Roads 31 and 34 in Stormont Dundas and Glengarry Townships and intercepted the following vehicles for travelling at excessive speeds. The vehicles were impounded and the driver’s permit seized for seven (7) days in accordance to policy.
– August 6, 2017 – 10:58am (South Dundas); vehicle stopped travelling 160km/h (100km/h zone). Male driver (20) from Edwardsburgh, Ontario was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).
– August 6, 2017 – 6:29pm (North Glengarry); vehicle stopped travelling 138km/h (80km/h zone). Male driver (22) from Ottawa, Ontario was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).
– August 7, 2017 – 7:43am (South Dundas); vehicle stopped travelling 158km/h (100km/h zone). Male driver (26) from Pickering, Ontario was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).
– August 7, 2017 – 8:21am (North Dundas); vehicle stopped travelling 131km/h (80km/h zone). Male driver (20) from Gatineau, Quebec was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).
-August 7, 2017 – 8:36am (South Stormont); vehicle stopped travelling 134km/h (80km/h zone). Female driver (60) from Rockland, Ontario was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).
-August 7, 2017 – 12:06pm (South Stormont); vehicle stopped travelling 155km/h (100km/h zone). Male driver (25) from Mississauga, Ontario was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).
– August 7, 2017 – 2:23pm (South Dundas); vehicle stopped travelling 152km/h (100km/h zone). Male driver (18) from Guelph, Ontario was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).
– August 7, 2017 – 4:59pm (South Dundas); vehicle stopped travelling 156km/h (100km/h zone). Male driver (21) from North York, Ontario was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).
