CORNWALL, Ontario – Cornwall’s International Women’s Day show is once again returning to the Seaway City.

The show is featuring more than 70 exhibitors offering the best and largest selection of products and services targeted especially for women.  It is taking place at the Cornwall Civic Complex in Salons A,B and C.

“We are thrilled with the selection and the quantity of vendors this year,” says Julia Lucio, co-ordinator for this event. “We also are so happy to announce that Sue McGarvie, of Sex With Sue, is our main guest speaker.  We saw her last year at the Vankleek Hill show and totally had to bring her to Cornwall.  She’s fabulous.  Our very own local radio morning show host, Sue Stewart, from Corus Entertainment will also make a guest appearance.”

The event, which attracted more than 1,000 ladies in 2015, is expecting more this year, with a few new things in place to help.

The Art & Technique Academy of Hairstyling & Esthetics will be on site giving free hair braiding and curling.  Ladies will also be able to get mini manicures, pedicures, massages and readings.  Every ticket purchased gets a chance to win the new “Queen for a Day” grand prize which consists of a Spa Day, provided by Above and Beyond, Breakfast, lunch and dinner at local restaurants, flowers from Floral Expressions, an overnight stay in one of Ramada Inn’s beautiful fireplace suites including Breakfast the next day, and much, much more.

“This is a day to empower women, but men are also welcome!” added Lucio.

The show, sponsored by The Seeker Newspoaper, takes place on Sunday March 6 at the Cornwall Civic Complex from 10 am to 4 pm.  Entry $5 in advance, $10 at the door.  It is free for children 12 and under.

The event doubles as a fundraiser for two local organizations catering to women in need. Partial proceeds will be donated to SASS for Women and Maison Baldwin House.
