CORNWALL, Ontario – embers of the Cornwall Street Crime Unit along with the Cornwall Emergency Response Team (CERT) executed a drug warrant on November 29, 2017 at Victoria Avenue residence. “It was the hard work of our members along with the assistance of RCMP and CBSA K9 that made the execution of these warrants a success” stated D/Sgt. Bissonnette. As result of the warrants several items were located, including the following:

  • A loaded 9 mm hand gun
  • A quantity of Cocaine
  • A quantity of Marijuana
  • Canadian currency
  • American currency

Mogloire Moise Munkonda, 25, Anthony Anson, 26 and Marc Bruyere, 42 were arrested and charged with the following:

  • Possession of cocaine
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
  • Property obtained by Crime X 1
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking marijuana
  • Unauthorised possession of a restricted firearm
  • Weapons dangerous
  • Unsafe storage
  • Possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition
  • Knowledge of possession of an unauthorized firearm

ASSAULT, THREATS, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, POSSESSION OF WEAPON FOR A DANGEROUS PURPOSE

Cornwall, ON – Andre Mallette, 59 of Cornwall was arrested on November 29th, 2017 and charged with assault, threats, assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. It is alleged during a disagreement on November 29th, 2017 the man assaulted another man and threatened him with a knife. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on November 30th, 2017 on the strength of a warrant. As a result of an investigation into a domestic incident by the Cornwall Community Police Service on November 18th, 2017, a warrant was obtained for the arrest of the man for assault, mischief, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and breach. On November 30th, 2017 the man was located by police, taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
