Cornwall man arrested for fraud

CORNWALL, Ontario – Justin Levesque, 22, of Cornwall was arrested on Dec. 1, 2017 and charged with possession of property obtained by crime, fraud under $5,000 and breach of recognizance for failing to reside at a specific address and failing to keep the peace.

 It is alleged during the month of Nov., 2017 the man attempted to cash a stolen cheque at a local business and police were contacted to investigate. The man was located on Dec. 1, 2017, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

CORNWALL, Ontario – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on Dec. 1, 2017 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the youth breached his probation order a warrant was issued for his arrest. On Dec. 1, 2017 the youth attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
