CORNWALL, Ontario – A 12-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on May 10, 2017 and charged with assault.
It is alleged on May 10, 2017 the youth hit another youth multiple times and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
ASSAULT
CORNWALL, Ontario – A 23-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on May 10, 2017 and charged with assault. It is alleged on May 7, 2017 the man slapped his step-son in the face and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 15, 2017. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

CORNWALL, Ontario – A 26-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on May 10, 2017 and charged with assault. It is alleged during an argument on May 10, 2017 the woman punched her ex-common-law husband and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
MISCHIEF
CORNWALL, Ontario – Matthew Sawyer, 30, of Cornwall was arrested on May 10, 2017 and charged with mischief and breach of two probation orders for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on April 21st, 2017 the man damaged hospital property and police were contacted to investigate. On May 10, 2017 the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
BREACH
CORNWALL, Ontario – A 22-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on May 10, 2017 and charged with breach of undertaking for communicating with her ex-partner. It is alleged on May 10, 2017 the woman was found to be in breach of her conditions by being in the company of her ex-partner when police conducted a door knock at a Cornwall address. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as the conditions stem from a domestic incident and would identify the victim in the matter.
