Drug bust on Bedford St. results in five arrested

CORNWALL, Ontario – Members of the Cornwall Street Crime Unit with the assistance of the RCMP and CBSA executed a drug warrant at a Bedford Street address on Jan. 11, 2018. As a result of the warrant a quantity of Percocet pills were located along with crack cocaine, Fentanyl patches, marijuana, morphine pills, cash, knives and a taser. Arrested and charged accordingly are the following Cornwall residents:

Sherry Ann Burson, 50, Marc Dumond, 53, Jeremy Ceasor, 24:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
  • Property obtained by crime
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking Percocets
  • Unsafe Storage
  • Possession of a prohibited weapon
  • Possession of cocaine
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking morphine

Ceara Veldhoven, 21 and a 16-year-old youth:

  • Possession of Percocets
  • Possession of a prohibited weapon
  • Possession of marijuana
  • Possession of Fentanyl

Sherry Ann Burson, Jeremy Ceasor and Marc Dumont were held for a bail hearing, while Ceara Veldhoven and the youth were released to appear in court at a later date.

THEFT UNDER $5,000

CORNWALL, Ontario – Steven Coleman, 34, of Cornwall was arrested on Jan. 11, 2018 and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged on Dec. 21, 2017 the man removed a quantity of cash from a register at the St Lawrence College and police were contacted to investigate. On Jan. 11, 2018 while in custody on unrelated charges the man was advised of the theft under charge and he remained in custody for a bail hearing.
