CORNWALL, Ontario – From 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on YourTV Cornwall, volunteers manned phones, volunteers entertained the TV audience and volunteers got the word out about the important work that Carefor Hospice Cornwall does in the community.

Viewers of the telethon were be entertained by local acts such as Melissa Dionne, Bob & Ducky and Mike McNanny.

In addition to the entertainment, the audience heard testimonials from family members who’s loved ones had been cared for by Hospice Cornwall.

“We really thank the families who do their testimonials,” said Carefor Hospice Cornwall Fundraising Coordinator Sandy Collette. “We know that it isn’t easy to do, but we’re grateful that they do it.”

The YourTV Hospice Telethon is the biggest fundraiser for Hospice of the year. Carefor Hospice Cornwall needs to raise $600,000 annually to maintain its services.
