Cornwall woman charged with cashing forged cheques

CORNWALL, Ontario – Tyanna Tessier, 23, of Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 5, 2018 and charged with the following:

• Fraud under $5,000
• Utter forged document
• Possession of property obtained by crime
• Breach of recognizance (fail to keep the peace & abide by curfew)
• Breach of undertaking (fail to keep the peace & abide by curfew)

It is alleged on July 26, 2018, the woman cashed forged cheques that had went missing from a Cornwall residence and police were contacted to investigate. On Nov. 5, 2018, a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service attended the courthouse as the woman was in custody for an unrelated matter. She was charged accordingly and remained in custody pending a bail hearing.
