Woman allegedly assaults police

CORNWALL, Ontario – Ashley David-Thompson, 26, of Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 20, 2018 and charged with assault police X2, resist arrest and threats.

It is alleged on Feb. 17, 2018 police attended a Marlborough Street address for an intoxicated persons call. Once on scene the intoxicated woman was taken into custody after a brief struggle. It is alleged during this time she spat on an officer, kicked an Auxiliary officer and threatened them and their families. The woman was then released pending further investigation. On Feb. 20, 2018 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 15, 2018.

BREACH

CORNWALL, Ontario – Cody Richardson, 25, of Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 20, 2018 and charged with breach of recognizance for failing to report to police as directed. It is alleged the man failed to report to police on Feb. 9, 2018 and an investigation ensued. On Feb. 20, 2018 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
