CORNWALL, Ontario – A 44-year-old Akwesasne man was arrested on March 15, 2018 and charged with fraud. He was also charged with breach of recognizance for consuming alcohol, as well as breach of undertaking for communicating with his ex-girlfriend, being within 100 meters of her and for failing to keep the peace.

It is alleged on March 2, 2018 the man attended a Brookdale Ave. restaurant and left the restaurant, making no attempt to pay for his meal. It is also alleged on March 15, 2018 the intoxicated man attended his ex-girlfriend’s residence, despite his conditions, and police were contacted to investigate. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as the conditions stem from domestic incidents and would identify the victim in the matter.

THREATS

CORNWALL, Ontario – James Masson, 42, of Cornwall was arrested on March 14, 2018 and charged with threats. It is alleged on February 28, 2018 the man threatened his probation officer and police were contacted to investigate. On March 14, 2018 the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
