Lori Greer resigns as United Way Executive Director

CORNWALL, Ontario – The United Way Centraide Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Board of Directors announcing today, that Executive Director Lori Greer has tendered her resignation. She will be leaving the agency March 16, 2018 to further her career in a different sector. Greer joined United Way March 2014 and has worked tirelessly each and every day since.

Greer states, “This was a very difficult decision but one I had to make keeping my family in mind. I believe passionately about improving lives in this community, the support provided to local agency programs and the overall role the United Way SDG plays in making our Community the great place it is to live and raise a family.” Greer continues by saying “It has been a privilege to be a part of United Way SDG the past four years. I am extremely grateful and give huge thanks to the tremendous volunteers, staff, partner agencies, local business community and Donors.”

Nolan Quinn, Board Chair says, “On behalf of the board we all wish Lori tremendous success in her new career. Lori’s cheerful personality, professional attitude and most of all her caring heart were a true asset to our agency. With her dedicated leadership the United Way SDG has formed new lasting partnerships carrying us into the next chapter of United Way SD&G continuing our mission “To Improve lives and build our community by working together”.

During this time of transition the United Way SDG will continue normal daily operation with a strong office staff in place and Board of Director support. The recruitment process will commence in the coming weeks as we conduct our search for a United Way Centraide SD&G Executive Director.
