CORNWALL, Ontario – Cornwall Councillor Elaine MacDonald and Cornwall Transit have started a new contest to promote Cornwall’s transit services.

They are challenging students ages six to 18 who reside in SD&G to create a video that promotes travel on Cornwall’s bus system.

While students would own the rights to the video, Cornwall Transit would use the best ones to promote their services.

The first place winner of the contest will get $500, second place will get $300 and third will get $100.

All videos must be between two and five minutes long and be in a standard file format or on a DVD.

Cornwall Transit wants students to get consent from all those appearing in their videos, as well as consent for the use of any third party material.

The videos should contain no vulgarity, violence or defamatory language, but other than that, the format is open and can even be animated, or a music video.

The aim of the videos should be to help promote the Cornwall Transit system.

Winners will be judged on concept, presentation, humour, animation and artistic design.

All entries are due by Tuesday, May 15, 2018 and must include a submission form.
