CORNWALL, Ontario – Jacques Periard, 35, of Cornwall was arrested on April 23, 2018 and charged with possession of property obtained by crime, obstruct police, and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace.
It is alleged during a traffic stop on April 23, 2018 the man gave a false name to police and was found operating a stolen motorcycle. The man was taken into custody, was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 31, 2018.
ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, POSSESSION OF A WEAPON FOR A DANGEROUS PURPOSE, BREACH
CORNWALL, Ontario – Frederick Renshaw, 53, of Cornwall was arrested on April 23, 2018 and charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. It is alleged during an altercation on April 23, 2018 the man assaulted a man known to him with a knife and police were contacted to investigate. On April 23, 2018 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
BREACH, POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
CORNWALL, Ontario – A 19-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 24, 2018 and charged with breach of youth probation for not abiding by his curfew and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on April 24, 2018, while investigating another matter, police found the man to be in breach of his conditions and an investigation ensued. During the investigation he was taken into custody and found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as the conditions stem from when the man was a youth and is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

CORNWALL, Ontario – Christopher Beaulieu, 43, of Rockland and Mathieu Lamarche, 35, of Cornwall were both arrested on April 24, 2018 and charged with the following:

• Breach of probation
It is alleged on April 24, 2018 both men assaulted a man known to them and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation police located both men and found them to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine. They were taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
BREACH
CORNWALL, Ontario – A 25-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 24, 2018 and charged with breach of recognizance for communicating with his ex-girlfriend and consuming alcohol outside of his residence. It is alleged on April 24, 2018 the intoxicated man had an argument with his ex-girlfriend and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as the conditions stem from a domestic incident and would identify the victim in the matter.
