CORNWALL, Ontario – William Sanders, 26, of Ingleside was arrested on May 10, 2018 and charged with break and enter.

It is alleged in the early morning hours of May 10, 2018 the man forced his way into a Second St. W. business and police were contacted to investigate. The man was located in the area, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date.

THEFT UNDER $5,000, BREACH

CORNWALL, Ontario – William McDonald, 24, of Cornwall was arrested on May 9, 2018 and charged with theft under $5,000 and breach of two probation orders for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on May 8, 2018 the man entered a Pitt St. business and removed property making no attempt to pay for the property as he left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located on May 9, 2018, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

THEFT UNDER $5,000, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME, POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, BREACH

CORNWALL, Ontario – Adrian Oliver, 34, of Huntingdon, QC and Mathieu Pitre, 25, of St.Zotique, QC were arrested on May 9, 2018 and charged with possession of property obtained by crime, possession of controlled substances and breaches. Oliver was also charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged on May 9, 2018 Adrian Oliver attempted to remove property from a Brookdale Ave. store and police were contacted to investigate. Both Oliver and Pitre were located a short distance away and found to be in possession of a stolen car. They were taken into custody and found to be in possession of a quantity of Speed. Both were charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

THEFT UNDER $5,000, ESCAPE LAWFUL CUSTODY

CORNWALL, Ontario – A 16-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on May 10, 2018 and charged with theft under $5,000 and escape lawful custody. It is alleged the youth removed property from a local business on March 28, 2018 and on May 10, 2018 left a temporary youth detention center without permission. He was located by police, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per provision off the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

BREACH, WARRANT

CORNWALL, Ontario – A 26-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on May 9, 2018 and charged with breach of recognizance for failing to notify a change of address, breaching curfew, communicating with his ex-girlfriend and attending her residence. He was also charged with breach of probation for communicating with her, being within 100 meters of her and for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on May 9, 2018 the man was found to be at his ex-girlfriend’s residence despite his conditions. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and it was learned there was a warrant issued for his arrest as he had failed to attend court earlier in the day for a break and enter charge. The man was held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as the conditions stem from a domestic incident and would identify the victim in the matter.

FRAUD, BREACH

CORNWALL, Ontario – Blake Atwell, 42, of Cornwall was arrested on May 10, 2018 and charged with two counts of fraud and breach of undertaking and probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged during the month of November, 2017 the man fraudulently withdrew money from an account that did not belong to him on two occasions and police were contacted to investigate. On May 10, 2018 the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 3, 2018.

WARRANT

CORNWALL, Ontario – Michael Denneny, 38, of Cornwall was arrested on May 10, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on May 8, 2018 for threats charge and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On May 10, 2018 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on July 3, 2018.

BREACH

CORNWALL, Ontario – Gilles Desforges, 41, of Cornwall was arrested on May 10, 2018 and charged with breach of undertaking for attending a specific store and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the man attended a local store on May 9, 2018 despite his conditions and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 14, 2018.

FAIL TO ATTEND FOR PRINTS

CORNWALL, Ontario – Darin Cooper, 22, of Cornwall was arrested on May 10, 2018 and charged with failing to attend for prints. It is alleged the man failed to attend for prints on April 23, 2018 and an investigation ensued. He was taken into custody on May 10, 2018, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

IMPAIRED OPERATION, OVER 80

CORNWALL, Ontario – Shawn Valade, 43, of Cornwall was arrested on May 10, 2018 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged on May 10, 2018 the man was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Thirteenth Street and Brookdale Avenue. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 17, 2018.
