CORNWALL, Ontario – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on June 19, 2018 and charged with assault cause bodily harm, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and breach of recognizance for possessing a weapon.

It is alleged during an argument on June 19, 2018, the youth assaulted her boyfriend with a knife, causing him to seek medical attention for his injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, police located the youth. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
