Cornwall man allegedly steals car then steals from a store

CORNWALL, Ontario – Jonathan Laurin, 28, of Cornwall was arrested on July 9, 2018 on the strength of a warrant.

It is alleged in May and June, 2018, the man took a motor vehicle belonging to someone known to him without permission and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On July 9, 2018 police attended a Brookdale Ave. business as the man had allegedly removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.
