Cornwall man charged with break and enter, theft, more

CORNWALL, Ontario – Andre Boisseau, 28, was arrested on Friday, July 27 and faces a total of 19 charges, including the following:

  • Theft under $5000 x 9
  • Possession of property obtained by crime   
  • Possession of break-in instrument x 2
  • Break and enter x 2
  • Obstruct peace officer
  • Mischief under $5000 x 3
  • Breach of recognizance (for failing to reside at a certain address and failing to inform Ottawa Police of a change of address)

It is alleged that Boisseau forced his way into an apartment on Second St. East and Montreal Rd., as well as multiple vehicles, between July 5 and July 25. He allegedly removed numerous items from parked vehicles.

On July 24, the man allegedly took a backpack that did not belong to him from the Cornwall Community Hospital (CCH), where police were called to investigate.

Police located the man on July 27, at which time he allegedly falsely identified himself to police. Break-in instruments and keys that did not belong to him were found in his possession.

The man was taken into custody and charged accordingly.
