CORNWALL, Ontario – Cornwall Community Police Service (CCPS) received a call at 6 a.m. about a fire on Guy St. on Sunday, Aug. 12.

No one was injured during the fire.

CCPS and the Cornwall Fire Department were on the scene where it is believed the fire broke out in a shed.

“This is getting a little scary,” said Louise Lalonde in a release. “If the fire department hadn’t arrived so quickly, the fire could have easily spread to nearby homes that sit close together.”

It is said that firefighters attended to the structure well after the flames were distinguished.
