CORNWALL, Ontario – All three Hwy 401 westbound ramps in Cornwall are closed as of time of writing, 5:11 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018.
The Boundary Rd. McConnell Ave. and Brookdale Ave. ramps are closed due to a two vehicle collision between two tractor trailers.
Early indications from the OPP is that one tractor trailer, for reasons unknown at this time, crossed over the median into oncoming traffic.
Traffic was being sent off of the westbound highway by OPP and the Cornwall Community Police Service and causing significant delays on nearby arteries at the height of rush hour, such as Cornwall Centre Rd.
The status of the drivers and any passengers of the two trucks is unknown at this time.
