CORNWALL, Ontario – Baileigh Oakes is a 13-year-old girl, who despite a severe cognitive disability is still happy and very much full of life.

The local White Knucklerz Riding Club with help from the Seaway Valley Iron Dragons wanted to help make sure that Baileigh has a happy school year and a Merry Christmas, just like every child deserves.

On Saturday, Sept. 1, the White Knucklerz invited the public to have some hot dogs and come to meet Baileigh at their clubhouse. They also presented her with a 43″ flat screen TV and a zebra pattern chair for her room.

Every year, the White Knucklerz deliver Christmas presents and a Christmas dinner to one deserving child. This year, they chose Baileigh.

At their event on Saturday night, they were taking donations so that they can buy Christmas presents and a Christmas dinner.

The Friday before Halloween this year, the Knucklerz will be holding another fundraiser a their clubhouse is support of Baileigh. It will be $10 at the door, with raffle prizes and half of the proceeds will be going towards Baileigh’s Christmas fund. People will be encouraged to show up in costume, with prizes given out for the best ones.
