Longue Sault P.S. Arson suspect arrested again for uttering threats

LONG SAULT, Ontario – William McDonald, 22, was arrested on Oct. 25 on five counts of Mischief under $5, 000.

The OPP announced on Friday that he had be arrested again the following day for Uttering Threats, Criminal Harrasment and Breach of Recognizance.

The SD&G OPP received reports of threats against individuals associated with a Bethune Avenue property in the Township of South Stormont.

Upon further investigation the OPP arrested McDonald on Oct. 26 on new charges and he is being held pending a bail hearing.

One of the original Mischief charges against McDonald involves a case of arson at Longue Sault Public School which is located on Bethune Avenue.
