CORNWALL, Ontario – A Cornwall man, 36, has been charged with a slew of offences after his girlfriend – half his age – was assaulted.
Police said the 18-year-old female was attacked on May 16. It is alleged that during an argument the man assaulted his girlfriend by way of pushing and punching her. He also prevented her from leaving the residence.
Police were called and the man was arrested. He was held in custody to appear in court. He has been charged with assault, forcible confinement and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace.
His name was not released.
