Man arrested for break-in in South Glengarry

SOUTH GLENGARRY, Ontario – On June 7, 2017 at approximately 10:30am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a break and Enter in progress at a residence on Old Highway 2, South Glengarry Township.

Officers intercepted and arrested an adult male observed walking away from the property. Upon his arrest, officers seized a quantity of suspected marihuana.

William HALL (54) of Notre Dame de Grasse, Quebec is charged with;

– Break, Enter a Dwelling House With Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence

– Possession of Break-in Instruments 

– Possession of a Controlled Substance

– Fail to Comply with Probation Order (3 counts)

He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
