CORNWALL, Ontario – Cornwall police have arrested a 41-year-old man after a sexual assault with a knife involving his girlfriend.
Police say the man also choked, threatened, and damaged some of the 30-year-old woman’s property.
The alleged incidents happened on the 4th and 5th of February.
On Thursday (Feb. 12), the suspect was arrested and charged with assault, assault with a weapon, mischief, forcible confinement, sexual assault, sexual assault with a weapon, threats, overcome resistance (choking), possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
The man’s name is not being released to protect the victim’s identity.
