McAllister, MacPherson return as UCDSB Chair, Vice-Chair

BROCKVILLE, Ontario – At a meeting of the Upper Canada District School Board (UCDSB) trustees on Dec. 4, John McAllister and William MacPherson were re-acclaimed as chair and vice-chair respectively for a second consecutive year.

“Both trustees are long-serving members of the Board. Chair McAllister was first elected in 2010 and is serving his third consecutive term. He is a retired teacher and former municipal councillor. Trustee MacPherson was first elected as a trustee in 2000 and is serving his sixth term,” reads a statement from the UCDSB.

McAllister thanked is fellow trustees in a statement made after he was acclaimed.

“I remain motivated to promote public education and to instill public confidence in the school board,” McAllister said. “The focus of the board will continue to be the success of students and we will work to uplift and support them in their dreams and aspirations.”
