CORNWALL, Ontario – Cornwall’s Chief of Emergency Medical Services, Myles Cassidy, will be leaving on June 30.

As of yet, there is no word on who will be taking over his position until a new full-time EMS Chief for Cornwall is found.

The council for the City of Ottawa voted to waive the language requirement at their meeting on Wednesday according to a report in the Ottawa Citizen, but he will be required to take language training.

He had previously spent five years as the Dispatch Officer for the City’s EMS Services.

Seaway News had reached out to Cassidy for a comment, but he was unavailable as of time of publicaiton.
