Alexandria, ON – Hôpital Glengarry Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce the acquisition of a cutting-edge ultrasound machine, made possible by the generous contributions of our community. This vital addition replaces an outdated machine, ensuring that medical professionals can continue to deliver exceptional care to patients with the latest technology at their disposal.

Ultrasound technology plays a crucial role in modern healthcare, providing non-invasive imaging that aids in diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment planning across various medical specialties. The new ultrasound machine represents a significant advancement over the previous equipment. The new and improved equipment allows the healthcare team to deliver accurate and timely diagnoses while enhancing patient comfort and experience.

The hospital and the HGMH Foundation would like to extend its deepest gratitude to the community members whose generous contributions made this acquisition possible. Their support reflects a shared commitment to improving healthcare services and ensuring better outcomes for patients in our community.

“We are extremely grateful to the people in our community who continue to support the Hospital Foundation,” said Robert Alldred-Hughes, President & CEO. “Their contributions have allowed us to invest in this equipment which will directly benefit the health and well-being of our patients. Each year HGMH has approximately one million dollars in capital equipment and infrastructure needs to keep our hospital going. We rely on the generosity of donors to support these required investments, and each day are touched by our community’s willingness to make a difference in healthcare at HGMH.”

The Hôpital Glengarry Memorial Hospital Foundation plays a crucial role in funding vital projects and initiatives that directly benefit patients and enhance the quality of care provided by the hospital. By donating to the foundation, community members can make a tangible difference in sustaining and supporting hospital equipment purchases.
