CORNWALL, Ontario – Police and paramedics were called to the scene of a three-car collision which occurred at 9:45 a.m. at the intersection of Cumberland and Ninth this Wednesday, March 8.
Drivers were referred to collision reporting with no reported injuries.
A Buick SUV , Ford Focus and Toyota were involved in the collision.
This is the second accident in less than a month to occur at the intersection, but according to the city’s Transportation Engineer, Enrique Kamm, there is nothing inherently dangerous about the intersection.
“We typically look at past three to five years’ history to address engineering problems,” said Kamm. “We do know that higher volume in traffic creates more exposure, and more opportunity for accidents.”
