CORNWALL, Ontario – A 27-year-old Mississauga man has been arrested in connection with a break-in at a Dunvegan home on Friday afternoon.
Weston Rumble faces charges of break and enter and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
He was held for a bail hearing in Cornwall on Monday (March 2).
The break-in was reported at about 3:08 p.m. when an occupant returning to the home observed a man in the residence.
SD&G OPP, assisted by OPP Canine and Emergency Response Team (ERT) members, closed access to County Road 34 for a few hours while they contained the scene.
At 5:30 p.m., officers entered the residence and arrested the alleged burglar without incident.
A vehicle was also seized from the scene, which had been reported stolen from the Toronto area on Feb. 26.
