NORTH STORMONT, Ontario – On July 20, 2019 at approximately 4:37 a.m., Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to the scene of a single vehicle collision on County Road 43 between County Rd. 20 and Pigeon Hill Rd. in North Stormont Twp.

Preliminary investigation has indicated that a passenger vehicle was travelling eastbound on County Road 43 when, for reasons under investigation, left the roadway and entered the ditch causing it to roll over.

On September 30, 2019 the driver Kevin Gent, 25, of South Glengarry, ON was arrested and charged with:

–             Dangerous Operation Causing Death

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Nov. 28, 2019 in Cornwall.

The adult passenger Logan Sunday, 18, of South Glengarry, ON of the passenger vehicle was pronounced deceased at scene.
