OPP recover six stolen vehicles in SD&G

NORTH DUNDAS, Ontario – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Stormont Dundas and Glengarry (SD&G) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Emergency Response Team (ERT) and SD&G OPP officers have shut down a vehicle theft operation in North Dundas, Ontario.

Police executed search warrants September 23, 2019 at a property on Kittle Road, North Dundas Township. Six stolen vehicles – a 2019 Toyota Tacoma, 2017 Lexus RX35, 2017 Lexus RX35, 2019 Toyota Tacoma, 2018 Honda Civic and 2019 Lexus NX30. Officers also recovered stolen licence plates and seized a quantity of heroin.

A large number of stolen vehicles, connected to the North Dundas investigation, has also been recovered in sea containers in Vancouver, British Columbia and Lachine, Quebec.

Yves BOKUMA ETIKE, age 39 of Montreal, Quebec was arrested and charged with;

– Trafficking in stolen goods over $5000

– Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime – over $5000

Guylan BOLUKA, age 48 of Brossard, Quebec was arrested and charged with;

– Possession of a controlled substance

– Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime – over $5000

– Trafficking in stolen goods over $5000

Asif MOHAMED, age 46 of Montreal, Quebec was arrested and charged with;

– Trafficking in stolen goods over $5000

– Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime – over $5000

All three individuals were released and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on November 5, 2019.

“This OPP is committed the finding those responsible for ongoing vehicle thefts across eastern Ontario,” said Detective Staff Sergeant Chad Culbert of the Community Street Crime Unit. “The investigation is continuing and additional charges are expected.”
