CORNWALL, Ontario – The OSPCA is looking for a Cornwall woman who sold Boxer-mix puppies online despite them being only three days old.

“We urge anyone with any information that could assist us on this matter to come forward immediately as we are very concerned for the welfare of these puppies,” says Bonnie Bishop, Senior Inspector, Ontario SPCA. “If you purchased one of these puppies, we’d like to hear from you so we can ensure all off the puppies have been accounted for and are receiving the care required.”

Eight puppies were taken from their mother on Nov. 3. The OSPCA has recovered four of the puppies, but are still trying to account for the other four.

A Cornwall woman has been charged with two counts of causing distress, failing to provide adequate and appropriate care, and obstructing an officer in performing their duties. She is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 20.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the puppies, or with information that could assist in this investigation, is asked to call the Ontario SPCA’s province-wide animal cruelty hotline at 310-SPCA (7722).
