CORNWALL, Ontario – Lisa Sauve, 29 and Joseph Menard, 54 both of Cornwall were arrested and charged with theft under $5, 000. Sauve was also charged with breaching her recognizance for failing to keep the peace.

 It is alleged on Nov. 8, 2016 they attended a Ninth Street store and removed two televisions making no attempt to pay for them as they left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation both were taken into custody and charged accordingly.

FRAUD

CORNWALL, Ontario – A 34-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Jan. 5, 2017 and charged with fraud under $5, 000 X5. It is alleged between Sept.r 2016 and Oct. 2016 the man made unauthorised transactions using his father’s bank account. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Jan. 5, 2017 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Feb. 9, 2017.

BREACH

CORNWALL, Ontario – A 39-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Jan. 5, 2017 and charged with breach of undertaking for failing to notify a change of address, communicating with his ex-girlfriend and failing to keep the peace. He was also charged with breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged while dealing with a property call on Jan. 4, 2017 police learned that the man had breached his conditions and an investigation ensued. On Jan. 5, 2016 the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as the conditions stem from a domestic incident and would identify the victim.
