CORNWALL, Ontario – Cornwall is cleaning up after a major storm knocked down trees and powerlines over the weekend.
The Friday night storm had 115 kilometer an hour winds that left trees lying in people’s yards and in the streets. Downed powerlines left some residents in the East End in the dark.
On Monday, crews from Cornwall Electric were repairing leftover damage from the storm, and tree removal services were busy with wood chippers disposing of what the storm had left behind.
