CORNWALL, Ontario – Can Louis Pizzeria make it a three-peat?

The popular Cornwall eatery will join with seven others at the wildly popular Kinsmen Club of Cornwall pizza party March 20 at the Best Western Parkway Inn.

Louis’ has taken home top honours at the event the last two years and will be looking to sweep the competition again.

Newcomer Little Caesar’s will join with Pizza Pizza, 2-4-1 Pizza, Bobby’s Place, Milano’s, Best Famous Pizza and Domino’s to battle for the taste buds of nearly 250 who typically take in the event.

Last year $14,000 was raised to help local families and community agencies that benefit children – bringing the total amount raised by the event to $107,000.

“This year my goal is $13,000. We’d like to hit $120,000 in total,” said event chair Dan Carbonnell. “This gives local families assistance to lessen the impact of what they’re being impacted with.”

This year the pizza party will directly benefit Sean Cowan, and Eamer’s Corners Public School student grappling with leukemia.

Tickets for the event are going fast, but can be found at Scotiabank in Cornwall, or by emailing Carbonnell at dcarbonnell@cogeco.ca.

The event is sponsored in part by TC Media and Seaway News editor (and self-confessed pizza junkie) Todd Lihou is a judge at the event.
