CORNWALL, Ontario – Pommier Jewellers will be holding a Masquerade Ball in support of St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre (SJCCC) on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018.
The ball will raise money to help the centre acquire new equipment for their gym and physical rehabilitation facility at the centre. The ball will be held at the Ramada Inn in the Simon Fraser Ballroom.
The event will see a performance by the Powell School of Dance, music provided by Polar Sound, the magic of David Jans and a silent auction. On top of all of these great features at the event, there will also be more surprises to come.
“With last years success, we decided to step it up a notch,” said Elyssa Emond, Social Media and Marketing Coordinator with Pommier Jewellers. “This year we wanted to showcase an organization that is a true hidden gem in the city of Cornwall. They do so much that most people don’t event know about. It was not until we had a tour of St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre that we even realized what they do for our community. We are so happy to be putting on this event for SJCCC and we can’t wait to see you there.”
Over the past year, SJCCC’s Slow-Pace Rehabilitation Program has helped 308 patients.
“I’ve been here for three months,” said Ruth Pidgeon. “It is wonderful, you get nursing, physio and emotional and physical support.”
SJCCC is excited and thankful for the strong support that they are getting from Pommier Jewellers.
“We look forward to partnering in this special endeavor and offer our support in any way possible,” said Tamie Menard, Community Engagement Officer at SJCC. “Thank you again to Pommier Jewellers for making us the recipient of the first Pommier Jewellers Masquerade Ball and together we will help to serve our community in the tradition of our founders, the Religious Hospitallers of St. Joseph.”
