Motorcyclist dies in South Dundas collision

SOUTH DUNDAS, Ontario – Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are currently at the scene of a two (2) vehicle collision on County Road 2 and County Road 31 intersection in South Dundas Township.

Preliminary investigation has indicated that at approximately 2:28pm, a passenger vehicle was travelling eastbound on County Road 2, South Dundas Township when for reasons under investigation, the eastbound passenger vehicle collided with a westbound motorcycle in the westbound lane of the roadway.

The adult male driver (lone occupant) of the westbound motorcycle was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The eastbound female driver (lone occupant) was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

SD&G OPP, assisted by OPP Traffic Collision Investigators (TCI) continue to process the scene.

Names are being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.

As the investigation continues, detours are in place at the scene.
