North Glengarry teen victim in fatal collision

SOUTH DUNDAS, Ontario – Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to the scene of a two vehicle collision on Hwy 401 (between Upper Canada Rd. and County Rd. 31), South Dundas Township.

Preliminary investigation has indicated that at approximately 9:37 a.m., a tractor trailer was travelling westbound on Hwy 401 when, for reasons under investigation, a passenger vehicle entered the Hwy 401 travelling eastbound in the westbound lanes and collided with the westbound Tractor trailer.

Joshua Seguin, 17, of North Glengarry, ON; the male driver of the eastbound passenger vehicle was pronounced deceased at scene

The driver of the tractor trailer was un-injured.

SD&G OPP continue to investigate the collision with the assistance of the OPP Traffic Collision Investigators (TCI).

A section (Westbound lanes) of Hwy 401 between Upper Canada Rd. and County Rd. 31, South Dundas Township was closed to traffic with indicated detours in place, but has since been re-opened.
