MAXVILLE, Ontario – Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are currently at the scene of a two vehicle collision at the intersection of County Rd. 20 and County Rd. 24, North Glengarry Township.

Preliminary investigation has indicated that at approximately 5:13 p.m., a motorcycle was travelling Northbound on County Rd. 20 when, for reasons under investigation, a passenger vehicle travelling Southbound turned towards County Rd. 24 and collided with the northbound motorcycle.

The male driver (lone occupant) of the northbound motorcycle was pronounced deceased at scene.

Names are being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.

The driver of the passenger vehicle was un-injured.

SD&G OPP continue to process the scene and investigate the collision with the assistance of the OPP Traffic Collision Investigators (TCI).

As the investigation continues, a section of County Rd. 20 and County Rd. 24, North Glengarry Township is closed to traffic with indicated detours in place.
